Can you use a A/B box to switch between the 2 inputs of the RX ES? I've looked around on the forum and haven't been able to find anything out, hence me asking the dumb question . Still thinking about getting a RX ES and I'm trying to figure out all the angles. Jason

Somebody was asking about this in another thread, Maz 38 i think. I personally don't think you really gain anything. It just has the same effect as turning your guitar up and down a bit.

Thanks Billy, I was just wondering if I could switch between the 2 for a cleaner sound. I should beable to use the Overdose switch for that. Thanks for the response. +1 Jason

I did that last saturday night with my Maz 38. I have a Voodoo Labs amps switcher that has 4 amp inputs. I use one for the Maz 38 high input for my strat and one for my Taylor T5 that goes to the PA for acoustic sounds. The T5 sounds a lot better in the low input for electric sounds so I used another cable to the low input. Worked nicely! I used both the high and the low at the same time and got sort of a boost. I don't know if this is recommended, but I liked it. A AB switch would also work for this.

Yeah, I've got that switcher. It's great, you just don't hear much about it but they are nice. I used a Divided by 13 Switchazel over the weekend and got loud popping noises from it. Not cool. For the RX ES I think I might as well pick the HI or the LOW input and use the boost if I'm looking for more dirt from the amp. I'm trying to figure out a way to fit this amp into my current line up, I'm looking for something that will do clean AND dirty vox-ish sounds depending on how I set the amp up. I think the RX ES is the way to go. Jason

I played one once for a couple minutes but it wasn't long enough to really get to know the amp. Will it do Voxy clean and distorted tones?

As long as I'm asking all these questions, here's one more. How does the amp react with a closed back cab, like a Z-Best 2X12? I'm guessing with a closed back it's got a lot more of a rock n roll tone to it, obviously. But what does everyone out there prefer with this amp for a rock sound? Thanks very much for the responses so far guy's! Jason
