How does the RX ES like pedals, mainly OD or boost pedals? Do OD or boost pedals squish (compress) the front-end of the amp at all?
**Edit**
Forgot to ask...can you A/B the two inputs on the RX ES or does plugging into one disable the other?

Go ahead and give the pedals a try. I find the Z amps all get on just fine with OD'ds and boosts. I've got 5 of these woderful amps, and have not had any adverse effects from pedal usage.

I have an RXES and have yet to find an OD pedal that it does not get along with.

same here.
My RX ES takes both my OCD and my Timmy very well. I'll either use the Timmy for rhythm and boost it with the OCD for leads, or use to the Overdose on top of the Timmy. It loves my pedals.

Cool, thanks guys. I actually played a RX ES and Delta 88 for the first time today...both sounded like great amps, but I really was digging the tones I was getting from the RX ES with a '52 Reissue Tele. The Delta 88 looks like it has some great potential, but I didn't have an Airbrake or Hotplate to use at the store, so I couldn't really push the amp much.
On the other hand, the RX ES sounded amazing, even with the volume at lower levels. I did notice the percussive response that everyones mentions about the RX ES, but it actually works great for my style of playing as I tend to use a mix of pick and finger-picking simultaneously.
Me thinks a Z will have to be on my next up list...

I think an RXES will do any style. A very wide ranging amp.
