has anybody else tried 'em? I bought 2 a few weeks ago, and installed them. besides having a little trouble getting the speakers off of the front of the amp (they were sticking to the board and i had to pull them off...btw, is that normal?)
i can definately tell a difference in distribution of highs and a big jump in clarity. the only thing that I don't like is this: I feel that my speakers have been distorting a bit more and being kind of "farty" if that makes any sense.
i'm trying to weigh the pros and cons at this point. have any of you guys tried installing them?

There has been another thread here somewhere about beam blockers. I'm sure Benttop would know where it is. The general concensus has been positive. Some even said they should come stock on every amp. I have one in my Maz 38 and I just ordered two today to put in a 2 x 10 cab I've got on order. I really like the way they diffuse the sound and it makes it easier to hear off-axis. Some guys have reported that they had trouble getting the original speakers out of the amp, I didn't. Brent at Dr Z told me, via email, that some of the Celestions with the cork gaskets get stuck. No one ever reported the speakers distorting or being 'farty'.

So far this is the only one to complain about speakers getting farty as a result - I'd look for some other reason for that. I have beam blockers on everything and haven't noticed anything on the low end. I wonder if the beam blockers "revealed" the true sounds by virtue of killing the harsh beam that you were used to hearing.
