you're knocking the rx out of phase when it's played by itself, but if you use the spltter, it will be IN phase with the stingray. confusing i know, but don't worry about it being a stupid question, i had to get alot of help when this problem came up both amps are using the high gain inputs and the volumes are set at roughly 1 o'clock on the stingray and 10 o'clock on the rx with the expand switch turned onChad, THANK YOU.... he wrote this on another thread about when running the RX ES and the Stingray together they are out of phase and you need to flip the phase on the RX ES so they are IN phase with each other... WELL guy's.... I just tried this setting with the Stingray and the RX ES today ( with the RX ES out of phase with itself but IN phase with the Stingray..) WOW! talk about a BIG 'OLE SOUND.... WOW! ANY of you with a Stingray or a RX ES looking to get a 2nd AMP might think about getting the other for a pair ... what a sound... they REALLY compliment each other set up like this... it's a REALLY BIG tone! posted this on the original thread but also wanted to post it here and in the Stingray section... ;D Jason

Running an RX ES with a Route 66 head is cool, too! I've tried it and it rocks. The Route 66 really adds a nice midrange punch to the RX ES.
