I had time to plug this lil baby in... of course I dimed it with a LP right off the bat!! INSTANT ROCK STAR!!! Then onto the Tele... Jimmy Page got nuttin on me with this tone! I was doing the Bring It On Home riff and was laughing out loud. This brings some FUN back. I'm going to keep this in my house (rather than the barn studio) as I can play this thing and not bother the others while they are watching TV or doing their own music thing.
I've been toying and tweaking 5 watt class A amps for a little while and this one is most definitely the best there is. The attenuator is very useable and will allow nice tube saturation at volumes that will not bother any of your neighbors even it they are in the same building. A very well thought out design.
I was going to take some photos of the chassis so you can see it. The attenuator resistors are mounted in plain sight. I have this stacked on my Weber 15" cabinet and the cabinet and head are a perfect size match and both have the salt and pepper front.
Next I have to try it with a 1x12 and 2x10. This along with a Ghia are probably what anybody with a studio should have on hand.
Thanks Dr. Z Amps for another home run.
Happy Holidays all!
PT
PS just for laughs I'm going to play this thing wide open for an hour at different attenuator levels then infrared scan the resistors to see where they go!

Bluzman I´m interested in a MiniZ too. Let me know which other 5-watters you played and what is the difference to the others. Thanks in advance.
