Hey guys, I normally post in the Maz 18 Jr. section (love that amp!). I am now thinking of adding a second Z to my arsenel. I have been looking for a small practice amp that I can take with me to rehearsals and (after hearing the amazing clips from buddy) record with. I also need something a little bit lower powered as to not piss off the neighbors. Obviously, these amps are not in production anymore, which leads me to the question, where do I start looking? Anybody know of any places that may by some small chance still have one in stock? I have searched ebay and nobody seems to want to part with their "angry lunchbox". Thanks as always to all the great guys on this forum who take the time to answer questions.

Get one! I use mine at home and love it, whether at practice volumes or at its maxed-out Marshall stack sounding volume! There are a few floating around in-stock, but most dealers are all out. I'm not sure if Willcutt Guitar Shoppe still has them. Also, they sometimes pop up on ebay, but remember, buyer beware...

I *may* be selling mine once the brief reissues of the SRZ come out. But thats a maybe...
btw, I did get mine off eBay, and the Weber was busted. I just ordered a new one, but for S and G's I am trying the alnico Weber Signature 8". Ill post after I've tried it out.

I believe that Make'n Music has two left. I'm also reasonably sure that Wilcutts has sold out.
Get em while ya can people!

Only problem is they are asking $100 more than every other dealer is.

Is it official that the Mini Zs are no longer in production OR is production only suspended for now?
I called a local dealer to see if they had any in stock and apparently they have one on order for a customer... could someone please clarify? Thanks.

Thanks prowler. I played one months ago and loved it! If I can track one down I think I will HAVE to get one (now that I have a good excuse...hee hee). "Sorry dear, but I had no choice!"

Hi, I saw a mini at a pawn shop in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada for $399 (can). Looked untouched. It sounded loud, defined, clear, and brash. The salesman put it on the counter while I played, almost at ear level. I wish it was in the floor as I didn't want to part my hair past 3 o'clock. Anyway, he is willing to negotiate. I was going to buy it because the price was right and sell it for a cheap buck if it didn't jive at home. Long story short...it's still there for someone. I hope somebody that really wants it gets it.

In response to skydog's comment regarding Mini Z's on ebay. I just received a Mini from a seller in Vancouver. The amp arrived with a blown speaker. The seller has a stellar reputation and has been very helpful. He and I are confident that the damage occured in shipping. If you are having a Mini shipped to you, make sure the sellar removes the power cord from inside the cabinet or otherwise tapes it down, etc. It could damage the speaker in transit.

That might have been it, because I did buy it from a music store. I have the alnico Weber in it, and it doesn't sound terribly different from the ceramic (besides not being broken!), it is less aggressive and has later breakup (ironic for alnico?)

Howdy all... pained me to do it, but I've consigned my Mini at Willcutt Guitars to raise money to put toward a Z-28 and a McCarty. Checked w/the Maestro Z, and he said OK to post this info. Just dropped it off 12/22. Peace. MLP
