While searching Google I ran across a website that has a Mini-Z that has been modified with a master volume. Here are a few photos. Anyone know anything about this mod?

That's pro communications (Exotic) from Japan and there was a thread somewhere about the master volume mod and the Doc didn't sound too happy as he was unaware it was being done.

I must have missed that thread. I wouldn't let someone do that to my Mini nor would I buy one that had that mod done to it. I just found it interesting.

from the site in Japan into english It became the way which can designate Master Volume installing remodelling as very popular Mini Z. When it increases to crunching which is warped though call 5 W, the voice that was moved aside large number volume becomes large. There are no times when the eye which you saw is almost changed and remodel, have become simple. Master volume has adopted pre- phase invertor system. In addition, because it can reset to the original circuit simply by shaking off master volume maximally, completely there are no times when original good quality is lost by the fact that this function is acquired. Master Volume MOD Long-awaited Mini Z edition appearance!

YUK!
Thats just wrong on sooo many levels. If a pod or attenuator can't do it buy a pedal and boost the input signal.
Yuk!
Did I mention YUK?

The only mod the Mini would ever need would be tubes, or a different guitar, or airbrake. Maybe some other cabinet. I would rather get some isolation cabinet for the Mini, mic it up and listen from a mixer into headphones than have a MV put in. Can't imagine.

agreed. It would be sad to ruin such a nice clean circuit with a master.
