I'm looking to see if anyone has any experience matching their EZG with another Z Amp.
My pedalboard is a little over the top. It does end with true stereo effects pedals. The EZG is perfect for me, my style, and my set up. I run it clean and all dirt comes from my boxes. I am very happy so far. I seriously was just considering a 2nd EZG so I can run in true stereo. At the end of the day, if thatss the best sound...so be it. It is awesome now so that would just add a stereo spread.
Its killing me though to think with all of the great Z choices out there, to get another of what I already have. I was thinking something that was different, but not night and day different might add an interesting complexity to my tone. Something that can compliment it instead of offer a stark comparison.
The 1st thing people usually suggest to me is getting something completely different. Since the EZG is basically a clean amp...adding something really gainy. The problem with that for me is I am not using it as an A/B set up. I dont want to play clean on the Evan and then hit the other amp for gain. They both will be on at the same time and getting hit with the same OD boxes.
I really liked the Remedy clips but it seems like a waste to get that and not ever let it rip. Big Fat Clean Headroom is where it needs to shine.
So is there a good Z choice to hang with a EZG or do I just pick up a twin brother for it?

Thanks Curt,
The KT-45 did make my "short list" of heads to look close at.
It was (in no order)
KT-45 Maz 38 Stang Ray Remedy
Can I ask, any specifics why you pick the KT?

Big Fat Cleans, lots of headroom, great sustain and a near perfect platform for pedals.

I use mine quite often paired with the Stang-Ray. They are a great compliment to eachother. MeZadude

KT-45 would be my first choice with the Stang-Ray a close second.

Well you all have definitely "twisted my arm" enough. I got a chance to play briefly through a KT and I have to agree you are all correct!
I have no idea how it will sound blended with the EZG but I know that it sounded good on its own.
I'll just hope that its "2 great tastes that taste great together".
The 4 week wait begins!

The Galaxie has wonderful midrange harmonics, think tweed tones, and would be a cool match with that blackface EGZ tones. And if want to get crazy click in the Gal channel 2 and hold on tight for a fun ride!

My vote goes for the RxES. You've got that big 6L6 clean, now put in some nice harmonic EL84 goodness!

MAZ 38 is my choice. Actually i jammed with my buddy who had the 18 and a cab with blues and it kept up pretty well.

Just adding some closure to this thread...
After working with the EZG-50 / KT-45 pair for about 2 months now I am happy to report that they are a wonderful compliment to each other.
The stripped down simple version of it is, to my ears:
The EZG-50 is a very Bottom end, rich full, warm... The KT-45 is Very Crystal Clear, Bright, Punchy...
I have a stereo pedal board that drives them both together. It's amazing. They just "fill up the space" beautifully together.
I kind of use the entire amp as an eq adjustment. When I want more lows I just turn up the EZG, more highs the KT.
There's more to it than that, but that's the short version.
More clean headroom than You would ever know what to do with and my pedalboard just becomes a natural part of the circuit.
