Full report....
Got a new Z28 head and the old styke 2x10 cab came this afternoon.
Sounds awsome. I was playing it yesterday with my 2x12 w/ blues. It sounded great but to my ears it was too"crispy". I used the term muddy yesterday but I'm bad at describing sounds.
Through the 2x10 it sounds very clear with just the right amount of hair on the edges. There are so many sounds on this thing. For a three knob amp it has more tone/gain options than my RXES, Stangray and Maz 38.
I do country/blues through a Tele 99% of the time.
Also, it rocks when running in stereo with my RXES.
I'll try and post some soundclips later this week if anyone is interested.

interested, you betcha.
I had a great Saturday with a couple of forum members cranking a Z28 though a Dr Z 4x10 cab. Straight in to the amp and through a Fender tube Reverb Unit.
Wow, the Z-28 was happy with singles, humbuckers and P-90s. The setup excells at Jazzy tones, blues and rock.
Even WFO it's quiet and cleans up nicely with the guitar volume control. Turn up the guitar to 10 and whoa... this amp packs a huge rocking OD punch and attracts police.
