For those who have played both amps, do you think the Maz 38 can get some of those thick mildly overdriven sustain tones that the Kingsley does? The Kingsley really hits the two-rock tone on the head!

Chris, I had a chance to listen to the Kingsley sound clips. Great sounding amp. So is the Z SR. The Sr has its own sound..compared to no other. Interesting that the Kinglsey caught your ear sounding close to a Two-Rock. I heard something closer to a Carr amp. It all comes down to what really turns you on. The Z, in my opinion, sounds like nothing else, therefore, you create your own "sound." It's tough to put a dollar value on your tone and what you are will to spend or compromise. However, comparing the Z-Kingsley prices US to Canadian, the Z is the better value. I am thinking it be great for you to play through a SR and get the feel of what the amp can do for you. All the best to you. Rick
