I got my Rx in '98 and it still amazes me. I was playing it last night at rehersal, vol about 9:00 air brake on 4 (shoulda sucked the life out of things but nope..another great piece of gear). With a zen drive and my 335 on the neck pickup in the high gain input i was in David Grissom tonal heaven.
Side note: if you got an Rx get a zen drive. you can color the tone all you want but you can also add totally transparent gain boost with all the Z tone right there unaltered. i usually never use pedals except for an occasounal rotoshpere excursion but after the zen drive that may have changed.

i'd be curious to try an airbrake with my RX head-had a hot plate for just one day and didn't find it to be the right match ... maybe i'm just not an attenuator kind of person.
-btw,the FOH guy we have been working with told me he likes the RX more than others he has heard me through...he was another i have come across who wasn't yet familiar with Z's .
