Hello all, Not the most auspicious first post, but as you will see, I'm left with little choice. My Maz Sr. Reverb 2x10 combo [serial # P5677] went silent on me when switching back on from standby. All of the tubes are lit, fan is running, but I get no sound whatsoever. I have a complete set of spare tubes, including rectifier, so I swapped every tube, starting with the pre-amps and moving on section by section, testing. I removed the chassis, and made a special effort to look at the switches and the connections. Nada... I'm heartbroken to say the least. What now? Thanks for listening to my tale of woe. Sturgis

Check both fuses? Try the speaker with another amp? It'll work out. It's got to be something small.

Probably popped a 1/2 amp fuse. More than likely a bad rectifier or output tube(s). Should be a 1/2 amp slow-blow (MDL).

Hi guys, I'm running out to Radio Shack right now for 1/2 amp slo blo's .
*********************************************
Just got back....it WAS the 1/2 amp fuse. THANKS for walking me thru this near disaster. I haven't blown a fuse in any of my amps since my touring days, and I'd rather NOT divulge how long ago that was. What a relief!! Thanks to Billyguitar and Jimboyokel for the helping hand. If I can ever return the favor, you know where to find me! S.
