Anyone compared these amps? I'm interested in a 6V6 amp but I have a KT45 on order and don't want to buy an amp that is too similar in tone. I have a Maz 18nr for EL84 tone, got the KT for my Pink Floyd duo but love Strats and the Z28 seems to be very happy with Strats from what I can make out here. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Can;t comment on a comparison of the two however, the Z28 and a Stratocaster border on the magical.

Well if you play strats, then you have to great amps for you, I think that the neck/ middle pickup config. with the KT is AMAZING And same with the maz. Before I anwser the question of Z28 v KT does it HAVE to be 6v6, and what type of tone you want?... or just differnt from the rest of your amps? Tyler

Hi Tyler,
I guess it doesn't HAVE to be 6V6, just thought that it may give me something that the Maz and the KT can't get. As for what tone, I was thinking SRV, Hendrix, Knopfler etc along those lines. Is this already in the KT? Perhaps I should sit tight until I've played the KT for a while before I oull the trigger on a Z28.
Thanks.
