I have an old Strat that has been sitting in its case because it sounded thin through all of my amps. I had thought I would never be a Strat player. Then I got my Ghia this week. Wow this is the Strat sound I have always dreamed about. FAT and GREASY!!!! This is worth the price of the Ghia alone.

Ain't it cool how much difference a great amp can make? Congrats on your new amp.

Straightblues, I just got a Robert Cray strat yesterday from my wife for a christmas present!! I'll know the strat/Ghia nirvana soon! (I already know the "squier/Ghia" nirvana but you know how it is with a real nice strat...it's different ;D

I know exactly what you're talking about! I always loved the sound of my Strat, but I found myself playing my Les Paul or other humbucker equiped guitars at gigs because the Strat just sounded too "thin" and didn't cut through enough. I just got my Maz 38 and I can't put down my Strat! It's amazing how full and thick it sounds now when playing live! I remember why I love the Strat tone all over again.

I didn't think I would be alone on this one. The Ghia should be sold as standard equipement with any Strat you purchase. They just go together. Amazing. I am still amazed three days later. The great strat tones I have heard only from other players, never from me.

Around 2:00 on the tone knob is where it sounds the best to me as well.

I have owned, bought and sold over 25 guitars in the last 10 years, and not one of them was a strat. With the Ghia, I now have 2 strats and a tele!!! What a huge difference a little two knob amp can make. By the way, I am now down to one amp!!! G.A.S. I think so!!!
