I'm considering a Z-28, not sure if I should buy a head or a combo. My dealer has a 1x12 combo in stock but I thought they were no longer made. How long have they been deleted?

I thought that was just a hic-up on the Dr.Z website under the msrp pricelist page? Usually the 210 combo's are the same price as the 112 combo's unless you get a speaker upgrade.

Z28 sounds good thru anything I have ever used with. I dont think it can sound bad or if it can , you would have to work to make it happen.

My current Z28 rig was bought as a 1x12 combo. I got tired of replacing those high dollar EF86's every time I turned around (cabinet vibration plays the dickens with EF86's, and daddy likes to crank it up!) so through a few trades I was able to convert it to a head/cab....first a 1x12 but now a 2x10, and now I couldn't be happier with it. My tubes like this arrangement too!

I agree with Uncle Pat.....vibrations kill EF86's. Go the head route!!!!

Great advice. Thanks! Head it will be, probably going for a convertable 2x10 cab to put with it.
