Have you called Dr. Z? They might still have a few 8 inch speakers as spares. If not, I'd recommend calling Ted Weber.

Email Ted Weber. He can tell you which is the closest to the original to order. I think it is the signature 8S ceramic.

Your SRZ still isn't up and running? Do you just need a rectifier? Hell. If you cover the shipping, I'll mail you one of the Sovteks I've removed from my Z's. That will at least get you going until you find a rectifier you want. They're out of the signal chain, so it wouldn't affect the tone. They don't feel like a nice NOS Mullard, but I'm not asking you to send me $150.

Thanks Brad, but I just got my Rectifier in the mail Christmas Eve. Put it in and blew a fuse. Changed the Power Tubes. Blew a fuse...Pulled all the tubes reseated them and blew a fuse. Heading off the to Post office to send some items out then to the Shop to put it in for service. Hope, I'm a idiot and it is something simple. I didn't see anything obvious.
I am also back on board with the Mini Z heading to Ohio to pick it up tomarrow. I'll give the Z shop a call on Monday about the NOS Speaker.

Man, that's a bummer. The SRZ is a sweet amp, for sure. Hopefully, it will get straightened out before long. I'm starting to think the shipping company probably dropped it, and killed a cap or resistor or something.

We'll find out. I've got a hold on her at the shop. They are just suppose to make find the problem and then call me. I will make sure I get the right part if somthing is bad. Not just any part will do IMHO.

Got my Mini I played it through a 2x12, sadly not verry impressed. A little Buzzy. I think she needs the tubes swapped and the I get a better idea of how she sounds.

Just for giggles if you got a 4 x 10. Plug her in and crank it. Had a little fun with mine until the ezg-50 came in . I got the 2 x 12 with blues . . . hadn't tried that yet.
Tubes will probably help. Might try wrapping some rubber bands around the tubes (especially the el-84). I've had several of them that rattled a bit, especially in the combos.

FYI, the Doc referred me to Weber for my Speaker. Does anyone have one of Webers Blues in a Mini? A store on Ebay has one for 30 with free shipping.

Picked up a Ceremic Sig 8.. It should be here tomarrow if I'm lucky. I wanted to get it as close to original so I can move it if I don't like it. I'll have to see what it's like with the new speaker. If I set it to 12o'clock and run my BluesDriver into it with the tone knob off on the BD it sounds pretty darn go though with a strat.
