I am running my Mini fully attenuated into a Weber MiniMass 50 watt for mouse quiet overdrive.
Is this safe?

Hi-I have a similar issue and previously contact Z support directly. As usual, they had sound advice and they were super fast. The folks at Z told me it was ok to do ( I 'm using a BadCat Leash w/ the mini Z) and that I should use the external leash 1st and keep the mini's airbrake off (or on 0 attenuation). Turn up the min's attenuator only if you require even more volume control above and beyond the external attenuator. That was/is a complaint of mine regarding the mini. Though an airbrake is built in , I still need to use an external attenuator as I'm in a crowded hi-rise building. Anyway, the amp is fantastic and for the $-tuff/impossible to beat!

So the rule is, use the external attenuator as the primary volume reducer. If the external attenuator is on it's maximum attenuation, only then use the Mini's attenuator.

That's the word I got from the good folks at Z and that is how I've been doing things. Obviously, I've fiddled w/ all the combos of turning one up a bit and then the other, etc. To my ear, the best sounding set up is having the miniz full on (0 attenuation) and then using the leash attenuator as required. It has the best resultant tone to me. From all that I've read and have been told-there should not be any reason to expect a problem so long as you are using the proper cables, ohm selection, etc. I wish we didn't need to have this converstation but I've no choice and I guess the same is true for you. I get so jealous when I read about the other guys cranking thier stangrays wide open. No can do in my apartment!
