sveltana87 - congrats! Enjoy it and hold onto it - there is every tone you will ever need somewhere between your guitar's controls and the Ghia's controls!

hey svetlana87 -
saw your post a little while back over at the tophat forum classifieds as well, and i just wanted to say that having owned both a ghia and a club royale (the two amps you were considering) i think you chose very wisely! they're both great amps to be sure, but there's something extra special about the ghia that has consistently won over my heart for the past 8 years.
i'm 26 years old, sometimes i feel like i'm 40, sometimes i act like i'm 15, and sometimes i wish i was still 18!
congrats on your Z purchase, and welcome to the forum! i think you'll find it to be a fantastic community of true tone freaks (the best on the net IMO) and Z-lovers.

ugh! not showing up today! D:
The worst part is Fedex hasn't updated their online tracking since December 8th, so the last thing it shows is that my Ghia arrived to a Fedex pickup station in Charlotte, NC.
This is killing me!

HERE HERE HERE HERE HERE!!!
I'll put pictures up later!
I swapped out the 5751 for a tung-sol 12ax7, totally had that 18w marshall compression, left the 5751 in, totally sweet, buttery tone!
MY GOD I LOVE THIS AMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright even though you guys have the same amp, I have to show you pictures !!!! Okay, so it came with a Sovtek 5Y3, GT EL-84s, a NOS GE 5751!!! and a GT 12ax7. Suggestions for a bit more voxy flavor? I'm leaning towards Ei Elites in the power section and either tung-sols or EH's in the pre. What kinda rec should I get? Worst comes to worst, I can't go wrong with JJ's right? And now to end it, my highschool prom picture: I <3 my Carmen Ghia!

Man, do I wish I still lived in SoCal! (for the tubes only!) Myles, I just received the GT12AX7C for my Ghia and I haven't plugged it in yet..I'm looking forward to testing it right after work today! What do I have to look forward to? I'm hoping that some of the top end is softened...

Myles - I'm up in Santa Barbara and make it through LA once in a while. I'd be very interested to see how my Ghia sounds with your selection of tubes. Are you serious about your offer? If so, that's pretty cool.
