A couple of us are mulling a swap of Maz 38 NR and Maz GT heads. One is red, the other blonde. Since the shipping is cross country, and both of us wouldn't mind keeping the same color heads to match our Z Bests, pulling the chassis' and just swapping them into the others' cabinet would be ideal. Can this be easily done?

Can this be easily done? I did it with my RXES into a Stang Ray cab that Drew had. He wanted black, I wanted red, so we swapped. Everything fit fine, and the amp works fine. All of those amps seem to have the same cab dimensions - Maz, 'ray, GT, RXXS, SRZ-65... prolly a few others too. Kinda cool...

That's one thing Dr. Z does to contain costs. The Route 66 and Kt45 use the same cabinet. The Ghia, Mini Z, and Z-28 use the small cab. I think everything else uses the other size. (Not sure about the Maz Jr & RxJr.)

I know the RX Jr. is the same size as the RXES, so I would venture to guess the Maz Jr were the same.
