HELP!!!!!!! board used to be quiet, but has gradually gotten noiser over time.i have a pedal pad with included power source.pedals are good pedals;fultone, xotic, carl martin,t-rex.cables are george-ls.fultone guitar cables. wonder if george-ls are getting corroded,& or maybe some pedals would work better on 18 volts instead of 9 volts. any advice would be appreciated. thanks, messenger

While I use and like the George Ls, it's a good idea to redo them every now and then. I also plug and unplug the 1/4" in and outs a bunch of times too and exercise the pots on each pedal. Pots can get noisy. Click the on-off switch etc. I'm amazed too at how the jacks come loose at times too. I was getting noise from my daisy chain wire before. Also check the DC ins. Start with the basics and go from there.

What do you mean by "noisy" exactly? Hum? Buzz? Scratchy when you turn pots?

+1 on what Bluzman said - "maintenance". Also as Benttop said, try one pedal at a time as well as try deleting and replacing one patch cable at time. It's good to do once in while just because - just because this might happen. Especially with George L's.

I used to use that same padal board and I use similar pedals & George L's. I found That my Carl Martin Compressor/ Limiter was mostly the culprit, I have since went to a Keeley Compressor and also the transformer that powers all the 9v outputs literally was hanging by the wires. The nuts worked loose and allowed the transformer to sit on the circuit board.
