Just picked up a RXES a week ago. Really dig the amp and am finding out through trial and error anything with an EF86 is for me. My question is in regards to the rectifiers I either can or cannot use in this amp. I know it's self biasing but can I use either a 5V4 or 5U4? Also if I wanted how easy would it be to wire up the Overdose switch so I could use a footswitch? This is an earlier model and has the effects loop plugged but there is no footswitch jack. I was thinking I could use one of the effects loop holes for the jack and then run the wires from the switch in the front to the back. Is this possible or should I avoid doing this? Hopefully someone will respond and thanks a lot whomever should pick this thread up.

Harry I replied to request on TGP via PM about the rectifiers.
On the Overdose if you just use a shorting footswitch it will POP pretty loud as you engage the boost. On production models I use a relay circuit, a bit more elaborate but silent.
