Hi All I've got a spare greenback stored away and haven't used it with the Z28 because I found a Ghia with 112 Greenback wasn't loud enough unmiked for gigs. Given that the 28 is only a little louder than a Ghia, is the Z28 Greenback single loud enough for a pub/small club band? Brett

It depends on what kind of music you're playing....
If you're looking for a lot of headroom, then 'no' you'd have to mic it for that. There's plenty of volume in the amp if you like a little extra hair on your sound. Also, the type of guitar will affect things (ie. single coils vs. humbucker).

My rig is a Z28 & a 1x12 Greenie cab. There have been a few larger gigs where I have needed to mic it, but more often than not it's enough juice. It's def not gonna cut through a large club on its own like a Route66.
