I was reading Studio Cat's message, and I want to know your thoughts on buying an ATA road case for my amp.
I am planning on buying a road case for my Mazerati combo from X Case in Mississippi. Is there any reason why this would be a bad idea?

Great investment for protecting your other investment IMO.
I have both a Studios Slips clam shell and an ATA for my Maz Jr Combo, the amp lives in it's ATA 90% of the time.

X-case is an outstanding product. Bulletproof build and fits like a vaccuum glove. Highly Recommended.

I've got 2 amps with road cases and 2 with studio slips. The studio slips may not protect the amp as well if you drop it or something major like that, but they protect it very well and are MUCH easier to deal with. Amps are easier to transport, lighter, and and easier to deal with at the gig when empty. If you're not a road dog trusting other people to care for your stuff, I think they are more trouble than they are worth. JMHO
