The heads I've seen have one (a 4 ohm out). I'm not sure if they have always had it.

Thanks guys!
One more question, how would you compare the Mazerati to a Ray? is the Mazerati more of the same?

The Mazerati doesn't have quite the chime of the Ray but thats not a bad thing ! I end up using the Mazerati more than the Ray, I guess because The EF-86 in the Ray has some brittle high end and the Mazerati with a 12AX7 and 5751 is smoother across the board and with only two knobs it easy to dail in your sound no matter where you are !! A true Working mans AMP!!!!

Thanks guys! One more question, how would you compare the Mazerati to a Ray? is the Mazerati more of the same? fiestared69 pertty much said it..... The Rati is a bit less "chimey" in the top end, and has a stronger mid range and a tighter (but not as much) low end as a Ray. The Rati is also a bit stiffer feeling, but this isn't a bad thing. The Rati was probably my 2nd favorite Z under the Ray, I sometimes wish I still had mine.... but I'm happy where I'm at now with gear.

Thanks guys......I'm trying to make up my mind for a new Z amp, I just sold my KT-45 (it just wasn't my thing) now i'm out shopping.
I was thinking about a Rati (newer version) but it sounds like it may be too close to my Ray sound wise.
Thing i'll head on over to the Evan room.........Wish i knew what the remedy is maybe i would hold out. Hmmmmm?

I can't tell you what you're looking for, but...if the KT wasn't your bag, the EZG prolly won't be either. Both have BIG clean headroom, and both are outstanding. I would suggest, maybe wait a couple of months, and scope the Remedy. I played the proto, and it has had some MAJOR enhancements since then(June '08). Oh, Daddy-O...it was killin' then, but now, w/the 1/2 power switch,(22/44 watts)...2..2 amps in 1... ;D..FWIW AND...it has all 3 taps...4/8/16(I think). Let's put it this way...I'm going to sell a custom shop LP to fund the purchase of a Remedy. If you knew me, that would speak a sh!tload to you....

Well i finally found what the remedy is sounds very cool!
what i'm looking for is something along the lines of Dual Showman or Twin reverb, I like the tones of Vince Gill. I have the BP tones just need something warmer and smoother.
BTW the problem with the KT was it had a midrange spike (vowel sounding) that i could never get rid of no matter what speaker i used or guitar......got rid of most of it with tubes but not enough.

BTW my KT-45 doesn't have a midrange spike; if anything it has pretty "flat" mids for a Z. Sounds like yours might have been modded or something.

No it wasn't modded, all the red QC marks on the soldier joints were all there....who knows
