I used the EZG-50 with 2x10 convertible cabinet, and the Stang-Ray together last night. For guitars I brought the Gretsch 6122SP as the main guitar, and used a Rickenbacker 660/12, and a Washburn JB100midi with Roland GR-20 synthesizer. Also used a Moog Little Phatty keyboard. This is a fairly new band with 7 folks; 2 girl singers, 2 guitars, keyboards, bass & drums. I'm playing about half of the songs using the GR-20 synth. So I'm playing organ, strings, brass, voices, etc. on these songs. I used the Ric 12-string on 3 of the songs, and the Gretsch Country Gentleman on the rest. The pairing of these 2 amps is really sweet. Big, complimentary tones out of each amp. The Mini-Moog sounds really nice through these, as well as the Roland. The sound definition is amazing. Of course, the Gretsch really sounds big through this set up. At times, it was starting to resonate (even without F-holes!) as the sound was so big, and I couldn't get far enough away from the amps, so had to keep my foot on the volume pedal. Sweet setup. Had a lot of fun. It's been a long time since I had amps that did my Gretsch justice. MeZadude

Played a 1st gig last night with my new band (2 female singers/2 guitars/keyboard/bass/drums) on a 'lowboy' flatbed truck. I brought 5 guitars, my mini-Moog and 3 amps: (Gretsch 6122SP/Carvin DC127/Washburn JB100midi-Roland GR-20/Crook Tele/Rickenbacker 660/12/Moog Little Phatty and the Dr. Z Stang-Ray/Dr. Z EZG-50/MesaBoogie MKIV amps). The amps together were a lot of fun. Ran one channel of my TC Electronic G-system out to a Roger Mayer Crossroads to split to both Z amps. And ran the other channel directly to the Boogie. I love the clean tones of both Z's together. By the way, the gig was a blast! And I used each guitar more than once. We ended up making 125% of the original price for the 2/set gig (which was about 4-times what I normally make at a gig), as the folks liked us so much. Not bad for a 1st gig. MeZa
