Hey All,
Anyone ever retolex a Z Head. I have a stangray that does not match my 4 other z amps.
How hard could it be?

It's not exactly hard, but it's harder than you might think. What color is yours? I bet you could find someone here who has the color you want and you could trade.

Yeah, it's doable. You need to study how the pieces are cut that are on there now, so you have an idea how to cut them for the replacement. Usually you use contact cement to glue them on, but if you've never worked with contact cement you'll get a few surprises I'm sure. You have to be real careful that once the cement is set, you get the work positioned right before it touches, because once it touches, you can't reposition it no matter what. Takes a bit of pre-planning. If you cut the pieces right though, and have patience, you can do it without too much trouble. Still easier to swap head cabs with someone else though...
