I have a 59 tweed bassman clone, which is a wonderful amp.
Nonetheless, the speaker inputs are 4 RCA jacks, which run the 4, 10" speakers in parallel giving a total load of 2 ohms.
I would love to use my Airbrake with this amp, but there is only one 1/4 in and out.
Essentially, this would require two harnesses.
1.) 4 RCA female end to 1 1/4 inch male end
2.) 1 1/4 male end to 4 rca male end
Has anyone seen anything like this?
Part 2:
I understand that most Z's can handle an impedance mismatch. So long as my KT45 can handle a 2 ohm load safely, it would be great to use my 4x10 bassman as a cabinet for the KT or any other amp.
This would only require the first mentioned harness.
Has anyone experimented in this territory?
THank you!

Usually you want to avoid a mismatch in that direction if you can. 2 ohms into the 4 ohm output will put some extra stress on the output tranny. It's probably strong enough to handle it, but if it were mine, I wouldn't consider doing it. That said, you're going to hear others say it's fine, and it may well be. I may be just a big old sissy, but it is what it is. One thing you CAN do is get one of those impedance matching boxes that Weber makes ( taweber.powweb.com/store/zmatch.htm). That'll take your 4 ohm output and give you a 2 ohm jack for your speakers. You'll still have to make up a harness to convert the 1/4" output jack to something that plugs into those four RCA plugs.

I'm with Benttop- Z's trannies are really tough (my Ghia survived three days on with NO load) but I'd be really wary of running any Z at two ohms. Maybe Z will check in here.
Also, I don't know what speakers are in your Bassman clone, but be very careful if they're 15W speakers. The KT is a really strong amp (much more than the "45" would suggest) and hits the speaker cones really hard.

Todd and Patty can assemble the adapters you need to make this work.
Drop a PM to "pcns" and I'm certain Todd will take care of you. Then snag the Z matcher from Ted Weber and bingo...your all sett to toast your 4x10's!

Thank you for the advice, they are Jensen C10Q's which are 35 watts a piece, so power handling should be quite sufficient, but I think the impedance matcher is a good idea as well!
