I recently picked up a Brown Note D'lite GTO. It's a prototype/Demo amp that runs on 5881's. I was told I can run 6V6's in it, but will need to compensate on the speaker output contols. With the 6V6's set it to 8ohms for a 16ohm speaker set up.
My questions is, what are the tonal differences between the two tubes?

We talked about this on the phone but for the folks here ... a 5881 is a 6L6 and not a 6V6, very different tubes, generally not interchangable.
