Has anyone here had problems with their power light going out, or in and out??? I just got my new Z28 last Thursday and the cool blue power indicator went out at my first gig with it. I know it doesn't effect the tone, but I like to know if my amp is off or on, especially in multiple band situations, or during breaks, just want to make sure that the tubes are staying warm for me. I thought someone had turned off my amp during our break. It came back on after removing the blue lens and wiggling a little. However, later that night it went out again and will not come back on. Any advice? Anyone else have that problem???
P.S. - This is the tone I have been waiting for for years. I want to kick myself for not buying a Z28 before now. WOW. They are incredible amps. Of course, you all know that already. LOL
Thanks.

I had this happen with my Ghia. The bulb was simply loose. See if you can remove it and put it back. It's one of those push-in, turn and pull-out bulbs. If it's burned just get a new one from Radioshack.

Cheers to ya for getting a Z28! Great amp. Has that lil' something special in it tonewise. Sounds real nice for country with a keeley compressor and a tele too. Hope your bulb lights back up! Nice avatar too btw. Vince is the best. PK

Definitely. I am lovin' the Z28. I had a Maz18 Jr. previously and the Z28 just suites me better. Not sure what it is, but it is magical. LOL. I love the country tone as well using a tele with Fralin Blues Specials and a Wampler Ego Squasher. It is like the Keeley but different. To me the Keeley is great, but it compresses too much of your pick attack. The Wampler pedal has similar compression properties but it has a switch that gives you some of your pick attack back without losing sustain or compression, just mods the initial attack very well. Search You Tube for it. Or go to www.wamplerpedals.com he has some nice video posted using it. The 28 also sounds great with an 808 TS in front of it. For heavier distortion I use a Keeley Modded DS1. I have never had an amp that takes pedals so well. Then again, when you crank it to about 1:00 it makes you want to play with no pedals at all. LOL

LOL It's so good to read that other players are hearing what I hear in this amp. I too love the country tone I hear. I just finished a little noodling on my 28 and played around some more with my compressor. My Grosh has two Blues Specials and an Unbucker in the bridge. There is this sweet characteristic about the Z-28 that makes you wanna spend more time with every lick you know and learn some new ones as well. There is a presence to my guitar I never heard as well with my Ghia as much as I enjoyed that amp. Of course I did mess around with rock, blues and some fingerpicking too. Pedals or not - it brings some real bell like tones to my guitar. Hard to turn it off. I'm on vacation this week, so I'm trying to motivate myself to record some sound clips. I haven't attempted any recording since getting my 28 and that's so wrong. So very wrong.

You definitely have to take some time and record with it while you are off. I can't wait to get mine into the studio. I have 3 sessions scheduled for this month, so I am very excited. Excited to see the look on the producers and engineers face when they hear this beauty!!!
