I spent the afternoon playing with a really cool combination and thought I might share it. I like dual amps... for some reason having two different tones come out of the speakers and blend in the air really sounds great to me.
So (at household volumes) I split one signal from my guitar to my Maz Jr and the other to the mini Z at about 3 o'clock. Obviously the mini was a dirtier grinding tone, while the Maz was holding up the more crystal clear tone I wanted.
I was also using the dual inputs of the Maz with a foot switch plugged into the normal jack. Man, this is a cool boost simulation you can get with a cheap one button switch. (thanks to whoever mentioned it on this forum)
Seamless Dr Z sound with a real variety of tones... but all consistent. I have used my fender deluxe for the dirt channel before, but it sounds like a different amp. Cool in its own way, but with the two Dr Z's, the switch was more transparent... especially when going from both amps loud to just one of them.
Yeah - I know I should be sharing a sample with you all... but I ma not set up for the... yet.

Been doing the same thing and wait until you can crank them up. I may sell many of my pedals and just kick in the Mini for leads.

My son uses an A/B rig ... tweed champ and mini Z. Pretty cool.

I have been using my Mini Z (the initial one with the speaker) as the second amp or overdrive channel with a Mesa Boogie Subway blues amps in rehearsals. I plug the guitar into a Boss TU2 tuner then one output to the Boogie and the other one that I can switch on and off into the Mini Z. I get a great sound and it's easy on the ears. Have listen at www.myspace.com/thepeptikings the guitar comes in after the piano solo. There's only only track. I am using a Tom Anderson Hollow t which won my Telecaster shootout - details at www.geocities.com/alecds/tsintro.htmlThe band is now defunct. Enjoy Bruce Stringkiller PS Apart from Buddy Whittington touring I have never seen another Dr Z amp in Europe - I got mine from their dealer in Germany - who replaced the transformer swiftly and under garantee. As I'll be giiging in South Carolina and Georgia I am hoping to be able to pickup a Maz or a Carmen Ghia in September. Dates are at www.drpickup.com/datevo.html

the two input jacks are wired together... so that if you have a cross connection in the lo jack, then what ever is input into the hi jack is essentially a low input. So, if you plug your guitar cord into the hi, then plug a basic on off foot switch into lo, your can go back and forth. With the foot switch closed you are in lo input mode, when you open the switch, you are in hi... effectively giving you a 'mini' boost.
