Well, I'm all loaded up and after a quick shower I'll be off the the first gig with Junior! I am really looking forward to this. The other guitarist hasn't heard Junior yet because I always practice with one of his other amps at his place. I made a couple of quick changes to the pedal board today and this rig sounds MONSTER!!
I'm playing a strat, an ES-335, and a Ric 360-12 and they are all gorgeous.
Oh, I hope the rest of the gig goes well too. It's our first time playing at this place and if we do well we are likely to be asked back. We just got asked to play July Fourth by the place we played last time (and this was without Junior!). ;D
See y'all later!
;D ;D ;D

The gig went well and we were invited back. The RX Jr sounded great and the only effect I used was some delay--all the other sounds are in residence in Junior! I reviewed the video with the bass player last night and the sound on the video was even pretty good. I also heard the band mix out in the room (X2 plus wireless) as I was assigned to check mix and volumes early while we were playing.
We were asked to watch our volumes early and then increase a bit as the night progressed and we complied. Even with the volume controlled with the master, Jr. sounded good!
Other than the singer and the drummer getting a bit pissy in the fourth set and wanting to quit early, it was a fun night. The bass player (with his X2 plus wireless) even got out on the dance floor with a "senior" gal and danced while he was playing. Good fun (and we got the singer and drummer "straightened out").
Next gig--next Saturday?
