Hi All, I'm new to the board, purchased a maz18 jr. NR last year (love it) and recently came across a 6545 that I bought. When I put the 6545 on standby it takes a while (7-10 seconds) before the signal isn't amplified, then, if I turn off the amp while in standby the signal from the guitar comes back up before it goes off I'm not a techie so don't know what may be going on, my main concern would be if it's something that may be detrimental to the amp. Thanks for your time, any suggestions would be appreciated. Scott

I left a message at the Dr. Z shop and the next morning I got a call from the Dr. himself. Very impresive customer service! Anyway, I guess it's not uncommon for those symptoms in an amp with a tube rectifier, there's alot of energy stored in the chasis, etc. that dissipates when you turn the amp off. As long it's not going through tubes I should be o.k. I've got alot to learn about the technical aspects (something I want to do). I'd never noticed that effect in other amps so was concerned. Thanks to the Doc for making a great product and taking the time to call.
