I replaced the power tube and the 2 volt fuse that was blown. Now the power light is on, and all the tubes but the power tube lights up. Could it still be the power tube?

I am assuming, the speakers are properly connected and plugged into the chassis. Are all the tubes seated properly? There are TWO power tubes. The EL84 tubes, the taller twin tubes. Go to www.drzamps.com/manuals.html and select the manual for your amp. A Rectifier tube can take out the fuse, but that is not ALWAYS the case. The V8 is the Rectifier. When was the last time you used it? Did it sound right then? Was the amp bumped around at all recently?

thanks, what I replaced was the rectifier tube. The other tubes all are glowing, could they still be bad?
