Hello, I just purchased a new MAZ38 2 x 10 combo 2 weeks ago, and am loving it. The reverb, while cool sounds less focused than I would like. I am a pro blues player and play pretty clean (ala my buddy Anson Funderburgh who plays a MAZ38). My former main road amp is a '65 Super Reverb (still have it and always will). I can get much of the same vibe, but the reverb is not what my ears want to hear.
I have tried the reverb tank from my newer Princeton Reverb clone and it sounds perfect, I juts have to turn it up a bit more to get the desired effect.
My question is, what long Accutronics tank should I buy, I want to have it be as compatible as possible.
Thanks, Andy

There should be a rubber stamp of 7 letters and numbers ( I believe it's real early ) write those down something like 8AB21XX call MOJO and he'll sell you a direct replacement.
PS Get a new large bag and set of longer cables for a nice neat install.

Thanks for the response Doc. I have the numbers and will give my buddies at Mojo a buzz.

Update:
Well, I found a "matching" long Accutronics 4AB3C1B pan dated 1982 lurking in a Super Reverb I'm rebuilding. I have a correct replacement '67 Gibbs pan for it, so I stole the Accutronics. It sounds even better then the last pan I tried. I changed the Chinese reverb driver tube out for an NOS Phillips Military 12AT7WC that is "hotter" and drives the tank harder. The sound is amazing, and I won't miss my Super's reverb at all. I'm very impressed!
