Hello, I changed the tubes in my Route 66 back in december. My tech biased it @ 28 mA even though I told him to set it between 32-34 mA. His explanation was that those were the measures he thought were best. Two weeks ago, I noticed the power tubes flashing blue while I was playing(i.e every time I struck a chord, it flashed momentarily). I powered down and brought it to the tech again. He told me all the readings were good and nothing seems to be wrong.. Is this normal? Merci!

Most people seem to prefer the Route66 biased between 32-36 milli Amps.

That blue glow when playing is quite normal and that is one reason I love the KT66. The Sovtek 5881WXT also has a lot of that blue electron cloud visible but I don't like the sound of that tube in most amps but for a guy like me that grew up in the sixties blue glow is cool! What you don't want is a swirling pink gas ... that means the tube is bad and if you are not sure if your glow is blue or pink it is pretty easy to tell ... with pink, if you run the amp more than about 5 minutes the tube will fail All sounds fine and dandy in your case.
