I'm just about ready to order the 4X10 speaker cabinet from one of Dr.Z's registered dealers. I have questions about the output ohms. For instance I plan to try and use it with a 1963 Fender Bandmaster head, and also try out a couple of my small amps with it, a Fender Pro Jr. (Lets you run a speaker out) and a Crate RFX30. My concerns are since none of these 3 amps have ohm out selection switches (like Dr. Z Amps do), should there be any problems running these amps through the Dr. Z 4X10? Also, I'm planning on getting a Mazerati GT head soon, how will this choice of Mazerati GT paired with their 4X10 speaker cabinet fare do you think? Thanks, This is my first post on your forum!

4 ohms. I want one so bad I can taste it. The Z 10's are great. Lots' of sound that you wouldn't expect from a 10. I have a 2X10 cabinet that I love. Maybe this summer I'll be able to get one. 4X10's and strats just go together.

I think I might pick up Black Creek's demo 4x10. Missing it's Z logo, but that's no deal breaker. I guess I can assume it's broken in?
Heh.
I think I'll still run it with the Galaxie, even if the cab is 4 ohm. It's going to get paired with everything at some point.

That's surely a tweed Bassman combo right there, zimmer!

That's surely a tweed Bassman combo right there, zimmer! Should be a treat. I'm thinking I'd like to put the Rte 66 on the Z-best, and the Galaxie on the 4x10, and run 'em side-by-side. Or the SRZ on the 4x10. Or something. I bet it will have "swirl." As opposed to chime, that is.

Someday I will get a 4x10 for my SRZ. I tried it at Z-fest and it rocked!

It's an important service that you provide, jwr. I'm wondering whether I might swap out the grillcloth and source a missing Z logo if it needs a little cosmetic help. Did you like it? What did you play through it? They've got some decent stuff there. At the same time, there was an auction for a white Germino 4x12 with Greenbacks, but that's one big cabinet. The 4x10 was on my list of stuff to try, and the price wasn't bad once they accepted my offer.

Lot's of low end and a sweet top end that was quite easy on the ears. I really want one for either my Maz Sr, if I decide to keep it, or my 65amps Soho. It's a HUGE sounding cab and looks like it's easily transported. It's not as big as one might think it would be.

the SRZ > 4 x 10 rig at Z Fest stuck in my mind...I think I uttered something about the worlds best sounding Bassman.........was the '63 Strat into that rig that made the next few nights sleepless for me.

Well, the 4x10 came today, and it's in decent shape overall. And to top it off, the Eric Brendan Band CD "July Rain" came as well. I got home from work late.
I have to admit that I listened to the 4x10 first, using it A/B with the Z-Best, pushed by the SRZ.
It's damned good, and that's only the first of the possible combinations. I'm feeling lucky just about now, so I'll have to be back later.

I'm curious whether the 4-10 Z cab has the "Lens Technology" like the 2-10 Combos? I built a 2-10 extension cab with 2 Z-10's for my Z-28 2-10 combo and used that on the soundboard.
I have no clue whather it made any difference. I was just trying to multiply what my combo puts out by 2(I know 4 speakers aren't much louder than 2, but it sure moves a LOT more air!).
