Quick question...let's say I have a Z 1x12 cab with a Celestion Blue. How difficult is it to switch/swap a Gold, G12H30, etc. Does it take any technical amplifier knowledge? Sounds like it would be easy but I'm not sure. Thanks.

It's pretty easy, but you need to know how to solder. Most speakers have terminals that accept slide on lugs, but not the Golds. I'm not sure about the Blues, but my two Alnico Golds had to have their wiring soldered on. If you're not absolutely sure you're good at soldering, have someone help you out with that part of it - you don't want a cold solder joint on your speaker connection or you risk an open circuit that can damage your amp.
Other than that it should be a snap. Sometimes brand new cabs have finish on the inside that is still curing when the speaker is mounted, and they stick a bit. You can use a putty knife to slide under the gasket and it usually comes free pretty easily. But be careful - that putty knife is death to the cone!
Don't tighten the screws down so tight the basket warps - Weber recommends finger tight plus a quarter to half turn. Then check them after you play them a while.
If you have just one speaker, the polarity isn't of any consequence unless you're playing two amps together. But generally the tip goes to the + and the sleeve goes to the -.
Good luck!

Careful w/ the screwdriver around the magnet...I ruined (punctured the cone) on a JBL D121F once being in a hurry. Use both hands to steady the screwdriver when you're seating it in the screw.

ditto stabbed a couple along the way...trying to hurry it up some... good advice on the torque for the speakers, I usually tighten them up too much and end up haveing to back them off..
