This one is for Doc himself I guess. I'm just wondering a bit about this, since have a 2x10" cab on order from VintageGuitar in Norway. ( lets not forget the Route66 ;D) How do you go about designing your inhouse speakers and cabs? Do you have a clear idea about the sound your after? Is this purely trial and error or do have a specific design or some guiding rules in mind? Is this process similar to when sit down and design an amp? On your website you state that the 2x12 Z-Best is Thiele-ported, this means there is some math involved as well, at least for the Z-Best. I realize you're probably right busy, busier than me right now while I'm typing this anyway. For me this is a little bit the same as when I visit a wineproducer for a tasting. I always want to know a little about their philosophy behind the wines. Why do they do this or that. what do they hope to accomplish. In your many amp-designs it is clear that you strive for simplicity, a certain elegance ( at least ito my eye ) and good tone of course. So, what about the speakers and cabs? Cheers: Dixiechicken
