The El 37 tube is kind of like a KT66, can I run these in a Route 66 with similar results.

Not sure what the plate voltage is in a Rt 66, but the max plate voltage for a KT66 is 550vdc, whereas a EL37 is only 400vdc.
There's a good chance an EL37 would cook quickly in an Rt 66.

But .... there are some so called EL-37's that are nothing more than a 6L6 variant of low quality.

The ones I have are the nice Mullard ones like in the picture. I have I think about 4 pairs of them. Would those sound close to the GEC Kt66 in the Route 66?

The ones shown in the picture would not be safe. The Route 66 has too much plate voltage. These are a very early version. They will also sound nothing like a KT66 tube in any amp.
