I recently bought a 35th Anniversary Ghia 1X10 combo. I've had several Ghias over the years, but this thing shocked the hell out of me. I did replace the WGS with an Alnico Gold 10, the WGS was nice, but the Gold is more to my liking (YMMV). I can't believe how huge this little 1X10 sounds. I will be selling my 2022 Ghia head (which I've added the same PPIMV as the Anniversary on the front panel), since I can just plug my combo into any one of my many cabinets and use it like a head. At least I SAY I'm going to sell it. When it comes to parting with any of my Z's, I always find it very difficult. That head sounds so good! We shall see.
Anyway, I'm very glad I picked up a 35th Anniversary Ghia, what a wonderful creation!

I had a 1x10 Ghia combo. (non MV...maybe 2011 model?) I quickly replaced the Red Fang with a 10" gold. It was my first time with a 10 vs a 12. Never would have known it's not a 12. I'm sure if you side-by-side them you could tell a difference. But at a gig...never. I had a brakelite in the back, but I only used that at home. If I remember, Doc said for the production year of mine, he came across a bunch of nice 5751 tubes, and put 1 in each Ghia...but I can't remember if it was the input tube or the PI. Either way, it was a great amp. Wonderful gigging amp.

I am still amazed at how big it sounds!
