I just brought home a 2009 Maz Jr, with reverb, that I'm guessing has got to weigh at least 50 lbs., not the 38-40 lbs that is listed for the current models. Is that possible, that the amp lost at least 10 lbs with the upgrade(s)? Or am I totally off-base here?

Doc changed the cabinet to his 'ultra light' method a while ago.

Aha, so I wasn't wrong about the weight

It's been a long time, but I think my 2005 Maz Jr Reverb 1x12 combo was in the 60 lb range.

One of the reasons I traded my ‘04 Maz jr.. in on a Z-Plus was the weight. Doc’s lighter cabinet shaved significant lbs.

My early 2000s 2x10 is well over 50 lbs. It seldom is moved from the music space.

I think older ones also had that rather heavy double-baffle.
