Hi all,
Thanks for letting me join the forum. I am new to Dr Z Amps, deciding to retire my Fender Concert II that I've had sine 1984, i was looking for a louder DR and after trying out a Z LUX at Peach Guitars in the UK i purchased one back in early February.
Ever since trying the amp at the store I'd had it set to 20W, with a gig coming up i thought I'd try using the amp at 40W.
I switched the standby off (with power left on) and changed to 40W then standby back on, i noticed the tremolo was very quiet with the depth on 3/4 or full. This worried me.
The next day i tried it again, this time not turning the power on until the wattage selector was at 40W, the tremolo was now as it should be, ie a lot more depth to the oscillations.
Would you know if i have an intermittent issue.

Well Berry you sure are explaining an " Intermittent issue " that is it happened once but not again. What could have caused this operation with your Tremolo as you did every thing right is very hard to say without examining the failed unit. I have been working on Tube Guitar amps for over 50 years , and it sure is a lot easier to fix a fully broken feature than it is one that happen once and now works fine. I realize your concern the Z Lux is a very expensive amp and you want to operate correctly. Keep an eye on the issue and if it persists then a trip to a tech would be warranted if the unit was bought new it has a warranty and we use Essex Amp repair with great success for any warranty claim in the UK.
