Hey guys! Typically we just sort of shoot/record whatever feels good for the amp at the time, but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask! Is there anything specific you want to see in a video demo you haven't seen yet with the Z80? We'll be shooting using the head with the matching cabinet. Let me know and we'll do our best to accommodate. Either different guitars, pedals, settings, or whatever! Let me know! - Jay

I really liked the Z-Plus video you did where you started out clean and progressed to more grind. I think it’s important to give the viewer a sense of the amp sound at different levels and with single coils and humbuckers. I bought the Z-Plus because of your video. Strat would be the cleanest guitar obviously. You have a couple Nash ‘63 on your site. I don’t have a favorite for humbuckers, but you have a Gibson 335 and some Suhr guitars that would sound nice.

Jay of all the amps I have ever built the Z 80 is the most difficult to record and actually get the true sound and feel of the amp. Trying to get a great room sound is my suggestion by using a close mike and a well positioned room mike and try and get the perfect blend. I know easier said then done.

The Universal Audio Galaxy should come with the Z80 in my opinion. It's perfect in the loop and the colors go together! Also, some chorus up front when the volume is set for that dirty clean thing is spectacular. I can't wait to hear the demo of such a unique amp. It's become my muse since day one. OH, and some compression for that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers thing. I attached a picture of the board that I put together specifically for the Z80 using the Galaxy in the loop imgur.com/a/VP0RjWw

My goal is to capture all that beauty I hear from this amp in the room so I will give this a shot!
