Hello,
I'm not sure if it's just my hearing going or I got an issue with a treble pot on a Z Wreck. It just came in the mail and I got it all hooked up. Amp fires up with no issues and I'm getting sound. Testing the potentiometers, I notice a possible volume drop when I push the treble passed 3 o'clock. I can't explain it though... you can REALLY hear the treble sharpen up and the bass fading at that setting, but it seems to have lost a dB or something. This is my first Dr. Z amp and maybe I'm not use to how the circuit works. Anyone experience something similar to what I'm talkin about?

I have 2 Wrecks and both do that. Don't push the treble that hard, there is no need. Maybe someone has a technical explanation, but it's normal on a Z-Wreck. Truly an incredible amplifier.

When you turn the bass and treble up, the mids will get scooped out. You are probably hearing the low mids go away, and the middle mids akso go away, which effectively makes the amp sound quieter as mids are what your ears are most sensitive to. The mids will come back as you roll the treble and bass back.

I have been a "boogie man" for 20 year now and the Wreck is just awesome but it will take some getting use to. So far though, I love it....but definitely have to attenuate it!!!!

I wouldn't dare push the treble all the way up and leave it was just testing the pots. SOP for a new toy I get in the mail sight unseen
