watched this Christmas day. very good and deeply disturbing but it has a great soundtrack/score by Robbie Robertson and
did anyone notice the musician cameo performances?
i recognized Charlie Musselwhite and Jack White. not sure if there were others. well, i googled it. Pete Yorn and Sturgill Simpson are also in the film.

Haven't seen the movie but I would like to. I tried re-reading the book recently, but it was disturbing again, so I let it go.

Jason Isbel is brother-in-law… Yes this movie is disturbing, but really is small compared to how much the Native Americans were treated. This group had money which makes it more interesting to the general public. Not much interest in the run of the mill abuse which was brought to bear. The Native Americans are still being treated badly (as almost all indigenous groups) by the government and non-indigenous peoples. I come back to a bit in the movie “Indians Who Rocked the World” (a must watch I believe) that many Native Americans would try to pass as Black so they would be treated better by society. There’s a kick! ME
