Hey Guys just curious how much the of the ZLux sound can the Nova do? I have the Nova I’m guessing channel 1 is fairly close to the ZLux would it be redundant to have both Amps other than Reverb and Tremolo being the main difference? Thanks for any insight.

The Nova is based in the tweed camp, while the Z-Lux is blackface based. I have both, and they are very different from each other. Both are incredible amps, and there's no way I'd part with either one.

I absolutely love the nova maybe I need to get out of my own head about the Zlux they are a chunk of change. Nova has some really great clean sounds in it too, I didn’t want to have two amps that can do virtually the same thing. I know the zlux can’t do the nova but thought the nova could do 90% of the zlux sound, guess the zlux might be a bit more mid focused with a tighter response. I’ve played a zlux locally a few times just haven’t done a side by side comparison. Thanks for the input!

At the risk of oversimplifying, compare the sound of a tweed Deluxe 5E3 circuit amp vs. a '65 black panel Fender Deluxe Reverb. (There are a few videos on YouTube that do this.)

FWIW, I don’t think they sound anything alike. But then again, I also don’t believe that a black face and a tweed deluxe sound anything like. YMMV

My favorite amps to drag out of the house are the LP Twin and the Brown Deluxe. Getting hard for me to move the Twin and the DD. My Brown Deluxe weighs 38#'s and is 21 1/4" x 17" x 8 1/2/9 1/2" Maybe the Nova would be a good choice ? I run KT66's and P90's. My amps are these : 1) 5E3 Tweed Deluxe 2) '62 Brown Deluxe 3) Late 50's Tweed Pro with KT66's 4) Tweed Double Deluxe 5) Low Power Tweed Twin with KT66's 6) Single ended head that can run many different tubes with many cabinets
