…sounds the most like my 2x10 with Vintage 10s. I love the way my 2x10 sounds in my Maz 18 and want to get as close to that as I can in a 12” speaker cab. The most available seem to be a vintage 30 or a greenback. Also could be either closed back or open. Maybe a closed back with a greenback? I’m new to the cab thing as I’ve always had combos. Will a Vintage 30 12inch in an open back be a better choice? Help!

I don't think a V30 would be the path to go down. A V30 has an upper midrange spike in tone. Usually made worse by an open back cabinet. Some like it, some don't.
I would think a greenback would get you closer to what you're looking for. (and open back cabinet)

I think don't second guess this. If you like your 2x10, just go with that. You'll never find a 1x12 that sounds like what you already like, so maybe just be happy that you found happy.

I’m actually looking to use this with a different head. Hooked up the other head to my Max 18 speakers and it sounded great. Tried with a 2x10 with cream backs and it sound awful. It’s a hot rodded Marshall like head. That’s why I’m looking for a cab. Not touching my Max 18.
