Calling Jaguarguy (Mike) to the white courtesy phone! I'd like to think you could evaluate the Z28 through a 15" and let us know? I'm betting it would sound amazing (and not just because Brad made it sound great). I always liked the original Z28 with a 1 x 12" Tone Tubby 40/40, which is essentially a G12H-30 with lots of beef and far less brittle nature. I think the '28--especially with its heritage being in the blonde Fender camp--would sound amazing with a 15" American-styled speaker.

I remember when 15’s we generally dedicated to base cabinets. Then it seemed 10 inch drivers took over the base market.

We are guitar players, we live to break the rules. Didn’t **** Dale use Showman’s and 2x15 Cabs?

Quite some years ago, I actually had a Guitar custom head and two cabinets, each cabinet had 215s. My buddy bought a custom bass head with two cabinets each having 315s.

The 15" sounded incredible with the Z-28, but I still love my 2x10 Eminence Legends!

The Z28 really loves 12’s and 10’s.
