Edgar Winter gathered the true elite musicians from the world to make this album, and it is truly wonderful. As I listened to it the first time, it gave me a new appreciation for players that I've never really dug deep into. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is one.
If you love the blues, or just GREAT music, you owe it to yourself to get a copy of this.

When the grammy nominations come out, I go through the blues categories to see what's up. And, this year, this was one of the cool releases. Good Stuff!
I still love firing up the old Edgar's Winter White Trash Roadwork album on Spotify. It takes me right back to the 70's when my older brother brought it home. It just has its own sound. And, cool to hear this new work from Mr Winter!

I'm sure the album is great and I always liked JW's style. Unfortunately, he was one of the three artists that I saw live in their twilight and shouldn't have (the other two were BB King and Peter Green). He was so sick\frail that he had to be supported on and off the stage and was not a factor in the music that evening. It was like they propped him up there just so they could put his name on the billing. Sad. I had to leave early. I'll check out the album. BB was the biggest disappointment as he was my reason for picking up the guitar in mid-life. I did see him a half dozen times before that last show so I'm good on the BB front though. Hard to shake the memory of all three of those last concerts though.
