First, not many demos where you can see amp settings. I really like the sound in one demo, but no info on settings or if they’re plugged straight in or not.
Second, does the master volume allow you to dirty at in home levels ala the Z28 MK-II?
Thanks.

Oh yes, we spent plenty of time with it today. I have to say all three amps were amazing, and the 35th just really surprising how big it sounded in the 1x10 platform. Whisper to Roar it will do it.

↑↑↑ This. At Mini Z-Fest yesterday we were able to check out some terrific amps, and the Anniversary Ghia was one. I was way across the room and they were going from big bottle amps to the Ghia. It's amazing how good it sounds in a small 1x10 format. It wasn't boxy or anemic at all, it played with authority.
And I can attest to the range of volume and drive available. I've got both the Anni Ghia and the Z28 MKII, and you can get great dirty tone at all levels. It's an amazing package.

Dave has this right, the 35th Ghia sounds way bigger than it is and both amps have great dirty tones. I am still surprised by how much thump the 35th has, when I turn it up a bit I can feel it in my chest without rattling the windows! I often run them together for some Z magic!

I took mine to a an indoor gig at a retirement home on Thursday afternoon, along with a Z-28 for backup. Obviously, it was a quiet gig, but with the master volume, that was not a problem. I’m still fooling with the settings, both on the guitars and the amp. At one point, I thought to myself, “That’s it!.” And then I changed guitars for a song and started all over again. Hahaha. This amp is so much fun.

It was a very impressive little package. If you placed it behind a curtain and cranked it, few would guess that it was a 1x10 amp with 18 watts. Of course, they are Z Watts!

Thanks and appreciate all the advice, and the welcome to the forum. Any advice for settings for a dirty sound plugged right in?
Thanks again.

The amp has just three knobs, and they all do what they say……….Volume/gain…….Tone is tone …and master is master ……….. generally, speaking in docs, amplifiers, all combinations of settings sound good, it’s more of a personal choice, and possibly what guitar and pick ups you are using………… let your ears guide you and you will be on cloud nine!

Turn the Volume/preamp gain up to max with the MV cracked open just enough to yield some sound. Turn the guitar to 10.. all controls. There is your dirtiest sound at the lowest level possible. Reduce the preamp gain bit by bit to reduce the distortion in the preamp. If the amp gets to quiet by the time you find the distortion level you like, bring the MV control up until you have what you want for distortion and volume. Then, you run things from the guitar with the guitar’s volume control and/or pick attack.
